The final issue of Gail Simone's New 52 series goes out with a charge — Stephen Segovia's cover packs the full roster onto the page, with the red-hooded Virtue leading the rush forward, flanked by a masked young woman in a blue-and-gold costume, a dark-haired figure in orange, a wheelchair-using blonde, a shirtless brawler launching himself skyward, and a blue-haired fighter squaring off against a winged creature above. The cover's bold question — "The Team Triumphant?" — hangs over the whole ensemble with just enough uncertainty to keep you turning the page. It's a vivid, energetic send-off for one of 2014's most socially conscious superhero titles.
