As the Evolutionary faces his own demise, he chooses to evolve himself into a being beyond time, transcending humanity and reversing the changes he made to the New Men—returning them to their animal forms before dissolving into cosmic consciousness. Back on Earth, the Hulk awakens with no memory of the events, still wrestling with the weight of his existence.
