Scientist Jasper Whyte steals Thor’s power and transfers it to his creation, the robotic Crypto-Man. Thor and Crypto-Man battle. Part two of Whyte’s plan is for Crypto-Man to detonate a bomb and destroy much of New York. Thor reminds Whyte that his mother lives in New York, a detail that he had forgotten. Whyte destroys Crypto-Man, but the physical exertion kills him.
