The Mighty Crusaders #3
A menacing villain in a green-and-blue caped costume looms triumphantly over a scene of fallen Crusaders, his speech balloon declaring "I have destroyed the Crusaders!" — while at least two heroes still on their feet look ready to prove him wrong. Rich Buckler's cover work, inked with Rudy Nebres, gives the whole tableau a dynamic, high-stakes energy that fits perfectly with the "Atlantis Rising" finale promised inside. If you were following Red Circle's 1983 superhero revival, this issue makes a compelling case for the team's staying power.
