This February 1995 issue of Sam Kieth's surreal Image series presents a hauntingly beautiful cover — a hunched, anguished figure draped in a brilliantly patchwork-colored cloak, their bowed head caught in a burst of electric violet-blue light against a deep black void. Kieth's cover art (pencils and inks both his own) radiates the series' signature blend of raw emotion and dreamlike abstraction, with the vivid quilt-like fabric flowing outward like something between costume and cocoon. "Sarah in Stir" promises another deeply introspective chapter from this one-of-a-kind series that consistently defied expectations in 1995.
