The Massive #11
Part Two of Three in the "Megalodon" arc, this 2013 Dark Horse issue of The Massive presents a layered, unsettling cover by J. P. Leon — inflatable assault craft cutting through choppy water in the foreground, while sharks glide ominously through an overlapping nautical-chart design, and a group of hardened figures loom large against an industrial silhouette in the background. The collage-style composition neatly captures the series' blend of maritime tension and post-collapse unease, with Jordie Bellaire's color work lending the whole thing a moody, desaturated weight. Brian Wood and Declan Shalvey continue their run on this environmentally charged seafaring series, and this cover alone makes a strong case for what's waiting inside.
