The Massive #10
Brian Wood's post-collapse seafaring series hits issue #10 with a cover by J. P. Leon that layers the tension beautifully — armed figures scramble up a ship's exterior ladder while radar screens, close-up faces, and what appears to be a military incursion unfold in collaged panels around them. The warm amber and black palette gives the whole composition a taut, documentary feel that suits The Massive's grounded, geopolitical sensibility. Kicking off "Polaris: Breaker" as Part One of Three, this is a fine jumping-on point for the arc with Gary Erskine and colorist Jordie Bellaire bringing their considerable craft to the interior pages.
