The second chapter of Dark Horse's four-part "Toys in the Attic" brings a wonderfully unsettling cover by Doug Mahnke — the Mask's enormous green grinning face looms over a tiny, helpless figure cradled in a massive clawed hand, while a crowd of strange, marching figures fills the foreground below. That orange-and-purple palette and the sheer scale of menace on display make this 1998 issue a striking visual treat. Writer Bob Fingerman and artist Sibin Slavković continue their take on the Mask mythos, and if this cover is any indication, the story inside keeps the chaos cranked high.
