The Manhattan Projects #4
The Manhattan Projects #4 arrives in June 2012 with a cover by Jonathan Hickman that's as stark and deliberate as a targeting reticle — deep crimson geometry framing the series' bold "MP" insignia in a clean black circle, radiating quiet menace. The chapter subtitle "The Rose Bridge" hints at something poetic lurking beneath the alternate-history premise, which asks what if the R&D behind the atomic bomb was a front for far stranger programs — and what if everything went wrong. Hickman and Pitarra's series continues to make a strong case that science fiction comics don't need flashy cover imagery to hold your attention; sometimes a well-designed bulls-eye says plenty.
