When a mysterious shepherd named Kristof arrives, claiming she’s a descendant of Mary Magdalene and destined to become the Magdalena, Patience is thrust into a hidden world of supernatural threats. With Rowan kidnapped and Kristof offering a dangerous bargain, Patience must decide whether to embrace a legacy she never asked for. Written by Brian Holguin and illustrated by Eric Basaldua, with inks by Batt, Sal Regla, Rick Basaldua, Joe Weems, Tom Bar-Or, and colors by Beth Sotelo, John Starr, and Guy Major, the issue’s cover by Eric Basaldua and Matt Banning captures the story’s eerie, otherworldly tone.
