Only 8 people survived the drop. Their batteries were smashed during the landing and they packed the wrong back-ups. Nikki and Dan plan to hike to a nearby stable and get horses. The batteries in their radios are low. Girish and the others fall asleep on the ground. They are covered in tree roots and swallowed up with a cracking sound. They are being followed by masked men, who attack and get beaten up. One escapes. Girish's message is garbled. Dan falls asleep and is swallowed up. The roots almost get the dog, but a masked man is caught instead. They decide to finish the mission.
