The Legend of the Shield #11

Issue eleven of Impact Comics' Legend of the Shield brings the heat with a cover by Grant Miehm showing the Shield — in his bold red, white, and blue star-spangled suit — locked in a brutal, chaotic brawl with a looming armored figure whose glowing red eyes hint at something far from human. The two combatants are crashing through a collapsing environment, rubble flying in every direction, as a teaser banner promises "The Coming of the Crusaders." Mark Waid and Miehm are on creative duties for the "Denizens" story inside, and there's even an Impact trading card included — a nice bonus for fans of this early-'90s DC imprint.
