Tessei and Jubal go to meet Dexter Deveroux after the assault by his 3 ex-employees last issue. Tessei senses Deveroux is hiding something and, while helping his assistant, learns about the Tunguska Platform. Meanwhile, the rest of the Machine stop a rumble between 2 rival street gangs. Diviner, Blazer, Titan, and Demon then go to check a supposed abandoned warehouse owned by Deveroux only to get captured. Simultaneously, Challenger, Talisman, and Woolcott try to tap into Deveroux’s computers, only to be interrupted by Garrison Larson and Sergei Kirchoff of the KGB.
