The second chapter of DC's six-part prehistoric reimagining delivers a cover that crackles with raw, primordial energy — Daniel Warren Johnson's artwork (inked by Johnson himself and colored by Mike Spicer) depicts a dinosaur-fied Superman analogue, sporting a tattered cape and the familiar "S" symbol, locked in a savage collision with a bat-like dinosaur creature while a hulking green beast grapples from below. The neon-drenched palette of oranges, purples, and greens gives the whole brawl a wonderfully wild, almost psychedelic intensity that feels perfectly at home in 2022's wave of bold, imaginative DC storytelling. If you've ever wanted to see Justice League archetypes reimagined as prehistoric titans tearing into each other across the Mesozoic, this limited series is clearly not holding anything back.
