The Jaguar #12

Issue #12 of Impact Comics' The Jaguar closes out 1992 with a cover that says it all — the Jaguar herself erupts from a rumpled bed in full predatory fury, claws spread wide and mouth open in a fierce roar, her leopard-print and crimson costume unmistakable as a smaller figure of her leaps dynamically in the background. Chuck Wojtkiewicz's cover art crackles with raw, barely-contained energy, capturing a hero on the edge of losing control in the most visceral way possible. With William Messner-Loebs writing the story titled "Alliances," this is a strong entry in the series for anyone drawn to fierce, character-driven superhero storytelling.
