This February 1977 Marvel issue brings together Captain America, the Sub-Mariner, the Human Torch, and their fellow Invaders in a tense standoff — all while the massive, stone-fisted Golem looms at the left, fists raised and ready to unleash destruction. Cover pencils by Gil Kane and inks by Frank Giacoia give the scene a kinetic, larger-than-life energy, with Nazi soldiers closing in and the corner caption teasing whether the Golem's wrath will fall on the enemy or on the captive heroes themselves. It's a vivid slice of Marvel's WWII superhero action at its most dramatic.
