The Inferior Five #10
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe Inferior Five's comedic chaos reaches a fever pitch on this 1968 DC cover, where the bumbling team — including the hulking Awkwardman, a Batman-esque figure, and a woman in red — finds itself surrounded by waves of grotesque green and purple aliens, with Superman looking on from above in mild exasperation. Speech bubbles deliver the punch perfectly: Awkwardman has apparently knocked out the wrong guys entirely, while his teammate cheerfully insists they'll win anyway. Cover art by Win Mortimer and Neal Adams (with inks by Tex Blaisdell and Neal Adams) gives this superhero parody a surprisingly dynamic visual punch, and the interior story "A Monster Rally!" promises more of the same gloriously inept heroics from writer E. Nelson Bridwell and Howie Post.
