The Mole People, looking for a new underground home, after their settlement was destroyed when "a great star craft fell from the sky", tunnel upward into a subterranean chamber and find a mysterious mechanism, which controls their minds. Now uncontrollably aggressive, they attack the surface city of the Lomoreans, until Zandor and Zok come to the rescue. The mechanism "halts its infusion" of the now-wild Mole People, returning them to normal. The commander of the Mole People, who was not exposed to the mechanism, and the Herculoids resolve to find the cause of this strange occurrence.
