“Judgment in a Small, Dark Place!”

The final issue of this short-lived DC series goes out swinging — quite literally, as the cover by Gil Kane shows Hawk delivering a fierce mid-air strike while the Dove reels below him, both heroes caught in a crackling burst of energy. In the background, a man carries what appears to be an endangered figure, framed by the urgent challenge: "C'mon, boys! You can save your father… if you can reach him!" It's a vivid, kinetically charged image that captures the brothers' contrasting natures pulled into a single desperate moment — a fitting send-off for one of DC's more thoughtfully unconventional late-'60s titles.
