The Hawk, a Western marshal, investigates a crime at a dry goods store after the marshal is struck on the head. Working undercover with a deputy named Willie, the Hawk gathers evidence while the townsmen debate forming a posse to catch the outlaws. In a parallel storyline, a bold outlaw named Buckeroo and his associate clash with Belle over water rights to a ranch, leading to a dramatic confrontation where Belle must choose between her loyalty to the outlaws and helping the sheriff protect the land from those who would exploit it.
