The Green Hornet #9

Paolo Rivera's cover for this 2014 Dynamite issue captures the Green Hornet at his most atmospheric — the masked, green-suited crimefighter stands encircled by a sea of fedora-wearing figures, deliberately tipping his hat as if hiding in plain sight among a crowd of potential enemies. It's a wonderfully tense image, the hero's distinctive green costume the only pop of color amid the drab browns and grays pressing in from every direction. Mark Waid and Ronilson Freire's run continues here, and this striking cover alone makes issue #9 one to seek out.
