☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis volume kicks off 'The Ghost in the Shell: The Human Algorithm,' a manga series by Junichi Fujisaku and Yuki Yoshimoto that serves as a direct sequel to the original 'Ghost in the Shell' manga. Set in a world where cyberization and AI are commonplace, it follows Public Security Section 9 as they investigate a series of mysterious deaths linked to a new form of cyberbrain hacking. Collecting the first part of the story, this edition continues the franchise's exploration of identity and technology in a near-future Japan.
"Section 9" kicks off a gripping new chapter in the Ghost in the Shell universe, with Yuki Yoshimoto’s striking art and a story co-written by Junichi Fujisaku and Stephen Kohler. When Togusa thwarts an assassination targeting a pro-prosthetic rights politician, Section 9 is quickly drawn into a chilling mystery after reports surface of illegal dumping—among the discarded android shells, one is unmistakably the Major. The cover, also by Yoshimoto, captures the issue’s tense, atmospheric tone.
