The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men #3

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, this January 2012 entry in The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men delivers a cover that crackles with nuclear energy. Ethan Van Sciver's cover art depicts two blazing Firestorm figures — one gold-suited and forward-facing in the foreground, the other burning red behind him — surrounded by swirling atomic rings and towering flames, while a pair of enormous, unsettling eyes loom in the shadowy background. Writers Gail Simone and Ethan Van Sciver, along with artist Yıldıray Çınar, bring their take on "Helix" to a series that's clearly not short on power or menace.
