The Friendly Ghost, Casper #175

Harvey Comics' beloved friendly ghost is up to his gentle mischief on this cheerful 1974 cover, where Casper's body has stretched into an impossibly long, winding form as he balances a plate of cheese on one hand while his head peeks around curiously — all while a tiny figure snoozes peacefully in a small bed below, blissfully unaware. The teal-toned setting, complete with a cobweb-draped spider and a flickering candle, gives it just enough spooky atmosphere to remind you this is still a haunted house of sorts. Issue #175 promises more of the warmhearted, imaginatively silly fun that made Casper a staple of Harvey Comics throughout this era.
