“Invisible Friend”

"Invisible Friend" marks a delightfully whimsical journey in Casper #124, where the Ghostly Trio's antics accidentally strand Casper in a time-limbo after turning off the TV. Ernie Colón's expressive art brings to life Casper's chaotic trip through history—befriending Newton and calming a pirate mutiny—before Clever Clyde’s clever intervention sets things right. Fed up with seeing Casper on every channel the Ghostly Trio turn off the TV set, stranding Casper in a time-limbo. Clever Clyde implores them to turn the set back on, which sends Casper to knock loose the apple that falls upon Sir Isaac Newton's head, and then has him quell a mutiny by the crew of Christopher Columbus. Once the Trio finally let Clever Clyde get a word in edgewise to explain what happened, they undo Clyde's mistake by kicking the set as they did in chapter one - breaking it again, and releasing Casper from the currents of time.
