The Fox and the Crow #66 from DC's 1961 lineup delivers a delightfully sneaky cover by Jim Davis: the Crow has disguised himself atop a totem pole — hiding in plain sight above a "WANTED: C. CROW – REWARD!" poster plastered on it — while the deputy-badged Fox strolls past carrying a rifle, completely oblivious to the schemer perched just above his head. As a bonus, the cover teases a bonus appearance from "The Hound and the Hare," making this a double dose of DC's classic funny-animal comedy. Ten cents bought a lot of laughs in 1961.
