Now in control of Barry' body, Thawne sets out to be the Flash that Barry could be. He teams with Impulse to battle Trickster, Captain Cold, and Golden Glider, but displays his darker side to Bart. Trapped in a version of the Speed Force in his mind, Barry encounters Jesse Quick and Max Mercury who were wiped from existence during Flashpoint. Meanwhile as Thawne pretending to be Barry meets with Iris, Wallace, and Avery, Impulse shows up to reveal Thawne's deception. As Thawne prepares to kill them all, another unexpected ally appears.
