Heat Wave, now transformed into a fire god, has Barry and Detective Burns trapped inside his mind trying to free him from the Sage Force which transformed him. Commander Cold appears as Mick's old colleague Captain Cold to help convince Mick to give up his enhanced powers and regain his humanity. After the battle, Barry consults with the Flashes of the Multiverse for their advice as he decides to embark on a Force Quest to learn more about the new forces.
