The Exterminators #26

Vertigo's darkly comic series about pest control and urban decay delivers a quietly unsettling image here: a red-haired woman, her back turned to us, bears a Rod of Asclepius tattoo on her shoulder as a writhing mass of mutant insects crowds the foreground, the city skyline glowing behind her at dusk. The cover art by Philip Bond and David Hahn has a moody, almost elegiac quality that sits in intriguing tension with the title "Laura Goes Down."
