Vertigo's darkly comic pest-control series reaches issue #11 with a cover by Philip Bond that stops you cold: a chimpanzee wearing a bizarre mechanical headband bristling with wires, coils, and circuitry stares out with unnerving golden eyes, one hand raised to its mouth in a gesture that reads somewhere between shock and deliberate silence. Rue Morgue Magazine called it "hilariously black," and that unsettling primate portrait makes the case immediately.
