DC's Vertigo imprint brings us the second half of Al Davison's "The Dark Rose" story in this 1998 issue of The Dreaming, with a hauntingly layered cover by Dave McKean. The cover is a dreamlike photographic collage of ghostly, overlapping human faces and reaching hands tangled among gnarled branches and vines — unsettling and beautiful in equal measure. It's the kind of image that perfectly captures the strange, liminal territory The Dreaming calls home.
