The Displaced #2

The second chapter of BOOM! Studios' 2024 series delivers a cover that says everything about urgency and dislocation: two figures race away on a motorcycle, headlight blazing, while dozens of silhouetted human bodies tumble and drift through a swirling purple void around them. Looming large in the background is a close-up face — watchful, somber — that gives the whole image an eerie, almost dreamlike weight. With Ed Brisson writing and Luca Casalanguida's art (both pencils and inks) complemented by Dee Cunniffe's deep, cosmic color palette, The Displaced is shaping up to be one of the more visually striking sci-fi series of 2024.
