Two faces loom across this cover like opposing forces — one bathed in smoldering red above the title, the other washed in cold blue below it — their fragmented, glitch-distorted textures giving Martin Simmonds' art an unsettling, almost surveillance-footage quality. The bold red stripe slashing through "The Department of Truth" logo reinforces that sense of competing realities pulling against each other. James Tynion IV and Simmonds have built one of 2021's most visually arresting series, and issue #13's "Chapter 10: Hawk's Inferno" promises that the tension between belief and control is far from settled.
