The Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #29
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMarvel's martial-arts magazine pits two of its greatest hand-to-hand combatants against each other in this October 1976 issue — the cover by Earl Norem pulls no punches, depicting Iron Fist and Shang-Chi locked in fierce, close-quarters confrontation inside what the banner calls "the Arena of Death," with additional fighters visible in the chaotic background. Norem's painted style gives both warriors an intense, almost cinematic weight, capturing Iron Fist's glowing fist and Shang-Chi's focused, battle-worn expression with visceral energy. With Doug Moench writing and Rudy Nebres handling the interior art, lettering, and inking, "To Slay the Savior" looks like a showcase for some of 1976's most accomplished martial-arts storytelling.
