A ten-cent Dell adventure from 1955, this issue of The Cisco Kid opens with a pulse-quickening cover by John Parker: Cisco himself — resplendent in his embroidered jacket and wide-brimmed sombrero — stands tall on a makeshift log raft, pole in hand, steering through churning white-water rapids while a companion clings to the raft below him. The combination of swirling river, rocky canyon walls, and Cisco's confident grin makes it easy to see why Dell's Western titles were such a staple of mid-1950s newsstands, and the interior story "Two-Gun Tony," illustrated by Bob Jenney, promises more of the same spirited action.
