The Brave and the Bold #23

DC's long-running team-up series brings together two very different heroes in this July 2009 issue, with the tagline "Fight the Future!" setting an appropriately charged tone. Dan Jurgens and Norm Rapmund's cover depicts the imposing, horned Magog looming large as he grips a struggling Booster Gold in one enormous gauntleted fist — the tension between the powerful warrior and the gold-clad time-traveler crackles off the page. "Shadows of Tomorrow" promises an adventure that puts both characters' futures on the line, and Jurgens is a natural fit for a story blending time, legacy, and larger-than-life action.
