The Brave and the Bold #21
Green Lantern and Green Arrow — one of comics' most celebrated partnerships — reunites for part three of "Without Sin" in this March 2009 installment of The Brave and the Bold. Doug Braithwaite's cover pulls double duty on both pencils and inks, rendering Green Arrow in the foreground with bow drawn amid a wall of roaring flames, while Green Lantern soars above him against a star-flecked sky — all framed by the luminous, ghostly face of a woman looming in the background. With David Hine scripting and Braithwaite's painterly linework on interiors as well, this is a visually cohesive team-up issue with a sense of real dramatic weight.
