The Blue Beetle #30
Blue Beetle stands small but defiant at the bottom of the cover, crackling with blue-white energy while four aggressive, snarling figures loom large above him — a tattooed brawler, two charging attackers reaching down with outstretched hands, and a fourth closing in from the right. Rafael Albuquerque's cover for issue #30 frames Jaime Reyes as thoroughly outnumbered, the swirling amber and electric-blue composition making the odds feel genuinely daunting. "Boundaries: Part Two: Exposed Wires" hits in October 2008 with Matthew Sturges writing and Albuquerque on full art duties — a solid creative team delivering real tension.
