The Black Terror #12
The Black Terror #12 (1945) kicks off a mysterious adventure when Bob receives a letter from his Uncle in Wyoming, inviting him and friends to a ranch visit. But as the group prepares to travel, a hidden threat emerges—Benton and the others remain unaware that a strange man has captured Bob and transformed him into a twisted, electrified creature using a bizarre device. With art by Ed Moritz and Ed Hamilton, and a striking cover by Alex Schomburg, this issue blends wartime suspense with early superhero intrigue.
When Bob Benton receives an unexpected letter from his uncle Richard inviting him and friends to a Wyoming ranch, the trip begins with a strange twist—someone has already taken Richard, and in his place, a twisted, electrically warped creature now prowls the wilderness. With Jean Starr, Tim Roland, and Mr. Farrow by his side, Bob must unravel the mystery behind the transformation before the Ghoul’s sinister plans come to life.
In "null," The Black Terror and Tim Roland are drawn into a mystery when a golden statue from Bali—believed to be pure gold—vanishes from a drug store, only to reveal a hidden diagram of an incendiary bomb inside. With the un-named Police Chief and the newly introduced villains Starch Cosmo and Ace complicating the case, the investigation takes a dangerous turn as the truth behind the statue and its creator, Riati (Theodore Rawlings), begins to unravel.
