The Black Hood #6
Chapter Six of "Flor de Muerto" arrives with a cover by Francesco Francavilla that perfectly captures the series' sun-scorched noir tension: the Black Hood's masked face looms large against a blazing orange sky, his intense eyes fixed on a lone female silhouette standing amid palm trees and power lines at what looks like dusk or dawn. Dark Circle Comics' crime-driven take on this Archie hero has already earned a "Highly recommended" from The Beat, and with Duane Swierczynski writing and Howard Chaykin on interior art, that praise feels well-earned.
