“Horror Blown in Glass”

In Prague, apprentice glassblower Anton becomes obsessed with winning the heart of the aloof Maria, driving him to craft a haunting satyr’s head from quartz stolen from an unhallowed graveyard. The act unleashes a madness that distorts his vision—turning every face he sees into a devilish mockery—until his descent into violence culminates in a tragic fall into a vat of boiling glass. Ken Rice’s striking art brings this eerie, fever-dream tale to life, with his bold pencils and inks defining the cover and interior with a haunting, expressionistic flair.
