“Daughters of Doom”

In "Daughters of Doom," a man murdered by his business partner awakens as his loyal dog, Major, navigating a world both familiar and alien. Though initially content to be near his wife and daughter in his new form, his peace shatters when he learns his killer plans to harm his family. Cover by Ken Rice, with interior lettering typeset, this 1952 Ace Magazines classic blends eerie transformation with a desperate, canine vengeance—leaving one haunting question: what form will he take next?

Roger Glenn, representing "an anti-superstition society", challenges Dr. Jacoby to proof his theory of plants spreading lycanthropy. They travel to a Balkan jungle valley, where Glenn gets infected, turns into a werewolf and rips the doctor's throat out. Trying to cover up his crime, Glenn is caught and killed by the Balkan natives, who know all about lycanthropy, of course.
