“Moon-God's Death-Dealing Idol”

In "Moon-God's Death-Dealing Idol," Cliff Banning washes ashore on a remote Indian Ocean island, where he stumbles upon a moon-worshipping cult led by the enigmatic Luana. As the blood-red moon rises each month, the islanders prepare a gruesome ritual—only Banning soon realizes the true horror behind the ceremony. With stark, atmospheric art by Jim McLaughlin, this 1952 tale blends eerie myth and creeping dread in a story that lingers long after the final page.
