The Batman Strikes #5

Tied to the hit WB Kids animated series, The Batman Strikes! #5 from 2005 brings Batman face-to-face with a very dangerous dummy — the cover by Jeff Matsuda puts the Dark Knight nose-to-nose with the grinning, wired-up Scarface, who's strapped with explosives bearing a cheerfully ominous "Do Not Remove" tag. That tension-loaded standoff, paired with the bold cover copy "Scarface Is Gonna Go BOOM!", sets the stage perfectly for the interior story "Deadly Partner," crafted by writer Bill Matheny and artist Christopher Jones with inks by Terry Beatty.
