“Meet Major Mynah!”

In "Meet Major Mynah!", Ray Palmer’s archaeological dig in Cambodia takes a surprising turn when he rescues a mynah bird from a hawk—only to find the clever creature leading him straight into a trap set by a band of Viet Minh soldiers looting ancient relics. Written by Gardner Fox and brought to life with dynamic art by Gil Kane and inks by Sid Greene, this 1968 adventure sees the Atom form an unexpected bond with his feathered companion, naming him Major Mynah and bringing him back home as a unique ally. The cover, also by Gil Kane with inks by Sid Greene, captures the moment of discovery with a striking, expressive portrait of the bird.
