The Adventures of Rex the Wonder Dog #43
In "The Doom Express!", the town of Oscaloosa is buzzing with Clean-Up Week, and Bobo’s enthusiasm for picking up litter accidentally lands him in the middle of a bank heist. When a crucial letter of credit blows into his bag, the crooks are forced to chase him through the streets—only to be outwitted by a determined paper-picker and a few well-placed hat dents. Written by John Broome and illustrated by Carmine Infantino, this 1959 adventure captures the charm and whimsy of DC’s early comic era, with a cover by Gil Kane that perfectly captures the chaos in motion.
