The Adventures of Peter Wheat #62

Peter Wheat and Beetle investigate why Sammy Sweet's weekly gooseberry shipment failed to arrive, discovering that Sir Blackbird and his gang of scavenger birds have stolen the berries from the Wheat Kingdom's gooseberry patch. After Peter and Beetle are trapped in a well by the birds, they manage to escape and confront Sir Blackbird, ultimately driving the villainous birds out of the kingdom and recovering the stolen berries. The Wheat Folk celebrate Peter and Beetle's heroic victory over the bird scavengers.
