The Adventures of Jerry Lewis #88
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePromise "1,001 Gasps and Giggles" and this June 1965 DC issue delivers the setup right on Bob Oksner's cover: young Renfrew stirs a bubbling cauldron under the enthusiastic instruction of a very witchy new housekeeper, while a startled onlooker — and a very alert black cat — react with predictable alarm. The story is titled "Nightmare Daze," and the combination of a grinning witch, mysterious green brew, and Renfrew's determined expression suggests Uncle Jerry's domestic life is about to go wonderfully sideways. Arnold Drake and Bob Oksner were a reliable team for this kind of warm, madcap humor, and this issue looks like a fine example of their playful chemistry.
