“Jerry the Astronut!”

In "Jerry the Astronut!", Jerry, Renfrew, and Witch Kraft find themselves rocketed into space during a botched launch, crash-landing on the alien world of Figwerp where they're sentenced to die as invaders. With a daring twist, Jerry volunteers to face the planet's fearsome guardian, the Ugly-Mugly, while Witch Kraft works to get the rocket repaired and back home. Written by Arnold Drake and illustrated with dynamic flair by Neal Adams, with lettering by Gaspar Saladino and a striking cover by Bob Oksner, this 1967 DC adventure blends sci-fi whimsy and high-stakes peril in a 12-cent comic that's a must for fans of classic oddball humor.
