Texas Rangers in Action #78

This 1970 Charlton western from Texas Rangers in Action #78 features a striking cover by Pat Boyette that tells a story all on its own — a three-panel sequence across the top shows a man applying a disguise, accompanied by the chilling caption "a little imagination… a little make-up… a great deal of talent… and the lawman will pay for my crimes!" Below, titled "The Killer," the tension explodes into a crowded confrontation where a Texas Ranger squares off against a group of armed men in close quarters. With interior work by Joe Gill and Pete Morisi, this is a well-crafted slice of frontier suspense at its 15-cent best.
